You can register online if ALL of the following apply:

Your child is NEW to PPS
Your students did NOT attend a PPS Pre-K locations: Boise-Eliot/Humboldt, Clarendon, Creston Annex, Dr. MLK Jr, Faubion, Grout, Jason Lee, Kelly, Marysville, Lent, Rosa Parks, Sacajawea, Sitton, Whitman, Woodlawn
Your student does NOT have an IFSP and did NOT receive services from Multnomah Early Childhood Program (MECP)
You are enrolling your child in your neighborhood school and NOT a CBO/Charter
You have an email address and access to a computer

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION CHECKLIST

Please provide the following pieces of information to complete the registration process for your child:

Completed School Registration Form - available at the school or online at the Portland Public School website: /Page/2899
Immunization Records - Please transfer your records to the attached form, and sign and date it.
Birth Certificate or Passport- for birth date verification.
Proof of Address-Two Documents - Examples include utility bill, cell phone bill, rental agreement, bank statement, insurance statement, or mortgage statement. All must be recent and have the parent or guardian’s name listed.
Vision & Dental Screening Form - For any child age 7 or younger.

"All About Kindergarten" Presentation and Tour

Wednesday, May 13th from 4:30 - 5:30pm starting in the gym

Have your family join us for a presentation detailing what it is like to be in Kindergarten at Maplewood. You will learn about our curriculum, our staff and how to help your child be prepared for kindergarten. After, have your student join us for a brief tour and a sneak peak of a kinder classroom! We look forward to seeing you there!

We will have representatives from our PTA and our Before and After School Daycare options (Champions and Zen).

Popsicles on the Playground

Friday, June 5th from 3:00pm - 3:30pm

Join us on the Maplewood playground area to have popsicles and to meet other future Maplewood kindergarten students. Our wonderful Kindergarten teachers will be there to chat and meet families. Also meet our Principal, Dr. Roberti, and office admin to help answer bus and registration questions. Our stellar Maplewood PTA will also join us too!

Kinder Kick Off

Friday, August 14th from 3:30pm - 4:30pm

By this date, your child will likely be getting excited and nervous about starting Kindergarten. This event is a great time to connect with other Maplewood kindergarteners, play on our playground and get all your questions answered about the start of school!
